Delia “Deny” Boling

Delia “Deny” Jewell (Emberton) Boling, 78, of Ladoga, IN passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on her birthday, January 29, 2019. She was born January 29, 1941 in Glasgow, KY to Arvo and Gladys (Fink) Emberton. She married Warren K. Boling February 1, 1957. This year they would have celebrated their 62ndAnniversary. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker. She most enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. She loved her family get togethers and collecting geneology on her family. We are happy knowing she was a believer in Jesus Christ. She enjoyed teaching little ones in Sunday School, helping in VBS and studying the Bible with her Women’s group. We are so delighted in knowing that she is in no more pain and received the best birthday gift when Jesus escorted her into Heaven to the home He had prepared for her. She is Mom to Rita (John) Stull, Ladoga, Rhonda (W. Ray) Raney, Danville, Tina Boling, Ladoga, and Wendi (Scott) Brown, Ft. Wayne. She is Grandma to John Ryan (Johna) Stull, Craig (Trina) Stull, Wendell Ray Raney, Rachel (Charlie) Rideout, Ashton Brown, Allyson (Riley) Heller, Mariah Roe, Collin Roe, Joshua Brown, Aydon Brown, and Aaron Brown. She is Great Grandma to Owen, Garrett and Elizabeth Stull, Aniyah and Kendrick Rideout, Aliyah and Alivia (Brown) Johnson, and Lainey Heller.

She was the sister and sister-in-law to Jim and Dorinda Emberton, Mildred Brown, Teresa McIntyre, John Emberton, Ruth and Rich Whitesell, and Jerry Boling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvo and Gladys Emberton, her in-laws H.T. and Myrtle Boling, her brother Howard Emberton, her sister-in-law Carolyn Bouse, her brother-in-laws Ron Boling, Jim Brown and Danny McIntyre and her grandson Chandler Roe.

I pray the Lord Jesus wrap his loving arms around your entire family during this time of loss and grief. It is also a time to reflect on Deny’s life and her love for the Lord. Our cherished memories of loved ones, that have gone before us, is part of what makes us human. I personally remember her warm smile she seemed to have for anyone she talked with. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your family’s loss. My mother, Joan Prosser sends her condolences as well. God Bless.

Sending prayers for you and your family as you grieve and celebrate your mom’s life. She sounds like a wonderful woman of God, and obviously was that, as she has such a wonderful daughter. Many blessings during this difficult, but glory-filled time.

When Deny & Warren lost their home in a devastating fire, they became my neighbors on Franklin St. During the many months of their home’s restoration, we were given the opportunity to become close friends which was a blessing to me. Deny deeply loved her Lord & His church, along with her family & friends. My grown grandchildren still remember her Halloween popcorn balls!! She had a loving heart & a great smile, and I’m so grateful that our paths crossed in this life!!
